It was a clear starry night, as we listened to great music from The Runagrounds... munched on delicious hors d'ouevres provided by the "Small Chef at Large", Jennifer Cornell... and enjoyed fabulous wines and cocktails.

Most of us bid on the fantastic and unusual items in the silent auction, thereby raising a tidy sum for Last Stand.  Proceeds will benefit Last Stand's community programs and our work

to protect the environment and to protect and enhance the quality of our island life.

Our sincere thanks go to all the wonderful local artists, writers hoteliers, restaurateurs, business owners and individuals who donated their goods to Last Stand's annual fund-raiser.

As the evening progressed some brave souls danced to the music around the swimming pool.  All too soon the evening ended and everyone left, happy that they had met old friends and made new friends at our annual gathering.

We look forward to seeing you all at next year's "Protecting Paradise" in March 2006!
