Cruise ship expert in town
The author of "Cruise Ship Blues" will be the featured
speaker at Last Stand's annual meeting Tuesday.
Ross Klein will talk about the environmental and economic
impacts of the cruise ship industry and answer questions. Klein has
written two books and a number of articles and conducted several studies
on the cruise industry. His writing has grown out of his experience as a
cruise passenger and cruise enthusiast, having taken more than 30
cruises comprising 300 days.
The meeting will be at 6 p.m. at the future site of the
NOAA Nancy Foster Environmental Center at the Truman Waterfront. The
event is open to the public and free of charge.
