Group Works Throughout the Keys
EDITOR:
With the
Island Issues opinion piece in the Jan. 12 edition, you included an
incorrect caption for the photo of Last Stand's Dennis Henize. You
described Last Stand as a Lower Keys environmental group; this is only
partially true.
As a Last Stand member, I would like to
call everyone's attention to the significant fact that Last Stand is
working for the quality of life of all the Keys. Our membership in the
Middle and Upper Keys is growing. And while it's true that for many
years Last Stand's focus was only on
Key West, in recent
years the group has broadened its focus in the belief that we are all in
this together, that no Key is really isolated.
